  • 18 – 24 MONTHS
  • ADULT INTERACTIVE
  • 15:1 CHILD-TO-COACH RATIO

In this class, kids begin to learn to interact with the coach and other players.

Managing a class full of toddlers can be like herding kittens. They’re playful, sometimes skittish and easily distracted. But with the right structure and interactions, a lot can happen. Activities with bubbles, parachutes, cones and other sensory toys build skills for balance, coordination, running, tracking, kicking and changing directions—all building blocks needed for playing soccer. With parents by their side, our youngest Lil’ Kickers feel safe to explore new experiences, create new relationships and while learning in a fun and dynamic class environment.

  • 2 – 3 Years
  • ADULT INTERACTIVE
  • 12:1 CHILD-TO-COACH RATIO

In this class, kids begin to learn to actively engage with the coach and other players.

“Why?” Hang around enough with this age group of curious, older toddlers and you will hear that word a lot. Working with Thumpers and their parents, we welcome their inquisitive nature and sense of wonderment in learning. We use those traits to shape confidence and self-esteem to further build core movements like balance, coordination and timing–all necessary for mastering a soccer ball. While parent involvement continues here, this class bridges the gap between parallel play and directly interacting with the coach and other players. So “why” take a Thumpers class? Because it is a blast.

  • 2½ – 3½ YEARS
  • ADULT INTERACTIVE
  • 7:1 or 14:2 CHILD-TO-COACH RATIO

  • 3 & 4 YEARS
  • BEGINNER CLASS
  • 7:1 or 14:2 CHILD-TO-COACH RATIO

To share and share alike? Not always. These kiddos are raring to go, but need lots of direction to get there.

Preschoolers have a hard time sharing, but we help get them there. After all, soccer (and life!) is all about give-and-take. The goal of these classes is to create teammates who are coachable and eager to learn. Sharing is a big part of that. Creative storylines and animated coaches keep kids engaged and having fun. They won’t even know they’re working hard and learning. They’ll come away with important skills for soccer and beyond.

  • 3.5 – 4.5 YEARS
  • INTERMEDIATE CLASS
  • 7:1 or 14:2 CHILD-TO-COACH RATIO

Fun and fast-paced classes for kids who are naturally a little more competitive or with previous class experience.

Buckle up! These preschoolers are eager for action and ready to learn. With a curriculum chock full of imaginative games and adventures, these players are going to have a blast and won’t even realize just how much they’re learning. Coaches will guide them towards great soccer skills (specifically passing, trapping, shooting, attacking and defending) and introduce them to scrimmaging. Look a little closer and you’ll also notice improved communication, listening, sharing, perseverance and resilience.

  • 4 & 5 YEARS
  • INTERMEDIATE CLASS

For kids who are driven to play.

Does your child always have a ball at their feet? Constantly talk about soccer? Or are they simply driven to get better? Created for kids who are motivated soccer players, Micro classes kick it up a notch. While coaching remains child-centered and fun this curriculum is fundamentals focused and provides game-like situations each week that help solidify learning. Players enjoy 30 minutes of age-appropriate instruction and 20 minutes of small-sided scrimmaging.

Do I need to check in?

If you’re not sure which field your child’s class is on, please see the front desk so that we may direct you. Your child’s class will remain on that same field for the duration of the session. If you are attending a make-up class, please see the coordinator who will direct you to the appropriate field.

What if I can’t make it to one of my classes?

You are allowed to make up any missed classes within the session in which you are enrolled (subject to space availability). We typically offer many other class times, so usually this is not a problem; however, we cannot guarantee that space will be available. Please note that you cannot carryover make-up classes into future sessions (i.e. If the class was missed during the Summer Session, it must be made up during the Summer Session and will not carry over into Fall).

What does my child need to wear?

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and indoor soccer shoes (no cleats) or plain tennis shoes. We usually recommend shin guards to any child who is registered for a Micro class. Lil’ Kicker uniforms are included with the required purchase or renewal of your Lil’ Kickers annual registration fee.

We ask that you inform us prior to the missed class and we will provide you with the available make up options. We typically offer many other class times, so usually this is not a problem; however we cannot guarantee that space will be available. Please note that you cannot carryover make-up classes into later sessions (i.e. If the class was missed during the Summer Session, it must be made up during the Summer Session and will not carry over into Fall).

Can we pay as we go during the session?

The entire session must be paid in full at the time of registration, but because we offer open enrollment, class fees may be prorated.

Can I get a Lil Kickers discount for both of my children?

Yes! We offer a sibling discount of $15.75 for each additional child registered.

Can we come on any day?

No. In order to maintain class ratios and consistency within the program, we schedule children for specific times and days. When registering, be sure to first determine which day best suits your schedule. Of course there may be an occasion when a make-up class is needed. In that situation, you can schedule a make-up class for any day in which class space is available. If your schedule changes during the session, and you need to switch days, we will try to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability. However, changes cannot be guaranteed and are based on space availability.

What’s your refund policy?

If withdrawing a child from the current session, you will only be refunded for future classes and not for any classes that have already occurred. Annual or family registration fees will not be refunded. Our only exception to the nonrefundable registration fee is if you request a full refund before the session begins.

Can I transfer to another class if my family’s schedule changes?

All class transfers are dependent upon space availability. Lil’ Kickers is committed to serving our customers, so we will try our best to accommodate transfer requests. Requests to be advanced to the next age group within the current session must be approved by a coordinator.

What if my child is not feeling well?

If your child is showing the following symptoms of illness, or if they have been diagnosed with any infectious diseases, we ask that you keep your child home. Examples of symptoms include:

A fever within the past 24 hours, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, a constant runny nose or a cough not caused by allergies, or a rash that has not been checked by a doctor. Once your child has fully recovered,

What does the Lil’ Kicker recommendation process consist of?

Every session all Lil’ Kickers get a child development soccer evaluation to determine whether they should be moved to a more advanced level or continue in their current class level as they haven’t yet mastered all the skills necessary to move up. As Lil’ Kickers is a progressive program where each class level builds on the next, these evaluations are meant to ensure every child is set up for success in our program by guiding them in achieving developmental milestones through the completion of physical, emotional, social and cognitive goals.

When should my child move up to the next class?

Advancing to the next class really depends on the child and how they are doing in the current class. Our philosophy is that sports played at younger ages should be mainly about overall emotional and cognitive development and the social experience of playing in a group or on a team. The exercise and growth of a child’s physical capabilities is of lesser importance; so prior to moving a child, we consider not just the child’s physical needs, but also their emotional, cognitive and social needs. This approach helps create a successful learning environment for children who are ultimately well developed in all areas. Your child’s coach will evaluate your child every session and provide a recommendation for which class is most appropriate.

Why was my child asked to repeat the same class as last session?

Classes are commonly repeated in Lil’ Kickers as children need repetition and consistency in order to learn through cognitive mapping. The skills they touched upon in the first session are then repeated and solidified in the mind of every child so that developmental milestones are fulfilled in order to set them up for success both on and off the soccer field.

Even if my son is not old enough, can he be put in the same class with a sibling?

Our classes are developed to be age and level appropriate, so normally siblings of different ages are not in the same class.

Can I make sure a specific child is not in my class?

If a child is well-suited for a given class, we will not otherwise restrict that child from that class. However, we normally offer several times and days for each class, so it shouldn’t be difficult to personally schedule your child so that any unwanted pairing does not occur.

My child’s coach last session was great! Can I request the same coach again for the next session?

You can request a specific coach; however your child’s placement with that coach is not guaranteed as the assigning of a coach to a specific class is determined by coach availability.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Participants are highly encouraged to wear face coverings during participation, but it is not mandatory. Parents participating in parent/child classes or spectating must wear face coverings.  If you are uncomfortable with other children not wearing face coverings we encourage you to register for classes in a future session.

How are you ensuring the health and safety of staff?

Employees’ temperatures will be taken at the beginning of their shift each day. They will be sent home if they have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher and/or experiencing any other COVID-19 symptoms. All employees will be required to wear a face covering during class.

How are you ensuring the health and safety of participants?

We are encouraging all parents to assess participants and any family member joining the child for class. We ask them to check general health for sickness and/or possible COVID-19 symptoms before bringing them to class. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms should not be on premises until they have no fever (without fever reducing medication) for at least 72 hours and/or other symptoms have improved/cleared for at least 10 days from when they first appeared.

How are you supporting healthy hygiene for families and employees?

We will provide multiple hand washing stations and/or hand sanitizer to all employees & customers. Staff will be required to wash/sanitize their hands before shift and during classes, as applicable. All participants will be highly encouraged to wash/sanitize their hands before class.

How often will you be cleaning facilities and equipment?

In addition, class equipment will be disinfected between each class. High traffic areas will be disinfected frequently throughout the day.In-Bounds Training Center encourages facilities where rented space is used to strictly adhere to the state and county guidelines.

What are the guidelines in place for parent spectators?

Parents/spectators will have a designated area for viewing during classes and are encouraged to stay at least 6 ft apart.  Please be respectful of others and do your part to self monitor.

How many spectators are allowed?

To adhere to facility occupancy guidelines, only 1 parent per child is allowed. Additional parents, spectators and siblings are forbidden.

How will you be encouraging social distancing for participants on the field?

Curriculum has been modified to allow for distancing between participants and to minimize sharing of high-touch equipment. No scrimmages, high fives or after class stamps between participant and coaches will be allowed.  We ask for leniency in regard to maintaining social distancing between children. All employees will be required to wear a face covering during class.

Will water fountains be available?

Please have your child bring their own water bottles to class. We ask that your child’s name be clearly visible on their water bottle. Water fountain use is now allowed.
